Virtual Classroom

With the view of making the teaching given in Polytechnic more effective and comprehensive by implementing teaching/training principles of Information and Communication Technology, commencement of establishment of Virtual Classrooms in Government Polytechnic Institutions has been done by the Technical Education Department. Students taking technical education have to deliver quality and new technologies related to the courses to all the students of Government Polytechnic Institutions established in remote areas by using Information Technology. To achieve this goal two electronic media resources centre/studio (EMRC) has been established (Institute of Research, Development and Training, Kanpur and Government Polytechnic, Ghaziabad) in last few years.

These EMRC/studio are being attached to virtual classrooms established in 13 Government Polytechnic Institutions of state namely Government Polytechnic Lucknow, Faizabad, Bareilly, Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Government Girls Polytechnic, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Allahabad and Government Leather Institute, Agra and in 2017-18, virtual classrooms are to be established in 19 polytechnics. According to Operational Plan/Programme prepared by Electronic Resource Centre of Institute of Research, Development and Training, broadcasting of Live E-Lecture is done in EMRC studio by subject experts of Departmental/Higher Education Institution/Industries. In academic session 2015-16 and 2016-17, total 193 Live E-Lectures were broadcasted by the studio.
