Research and Innovation

Four Incubation Centers have been set up in the state:-

  • I.E.T. Lucknow
  • H.B.T.U. Kanpur
  • U.P.T.T.I Kanpur
  • M.M.M.T.U. Gorakhpur
  • In the first phase, the work of establishing Incubation and Innovation Centers in 25 other institutions is in the scheme. For this purpose, a sum of Rs.17.95 crore has been provisioned for 2016-17.
  • In the first phase, 15 Research Centres has been established for quality research work in the University.
  • New and relevant ordinance of PHD and M Tech has been implemented.

Visvesvaraya Research Promotion Scheme

New gift has been rewarded to the teachers of Colleges affiliated from University. To associate teachers teaching in colleges affiliated from university, Visvesvaraya Research Promotion Scheme has been launched, under which in the year 2017, 29 proposals were received from teachers of various colleges affiliated from University, in which after the screening by experts’ committee, 8 better grants were recommended. Under Visvesvaraya Research Promotion Scheme, it is being recommended to provide a grant of Rs.5 lakhs maximum to every selected proposal. Along with this, in second phase after the screening by experts’ committee, 13 better proposals were recommended for grant

Seminar Grant

Under this scheme, 54 proposals were received from various affiliated institutions, out of which 24 better proposals were recommended after the screening by experts’ committee. Under Seminar Grant, it has been recommended to provide a grant of Rs.1 lakh maximum to every selected proposal.

Travel Grant:

Under this scheme, 54 proposals were received from various affiliated institutions, out of which 4 better proposals were recommended for grant after screening by the experts’ committee. Under the Travel Grant, it has been recommended to provide a grant of Rs.1 lakh maximum to every selected proposal.

CV Raman Teaching Assistance Program

Under this scheme, 50 students of M. Tech of University will be selected as Teaching Assistant. These students will execute teaching work in colleges affiliated from University; during this they will be given stipend. In private institutes 50% of the stipend will be given by the University and remaining will be borne by that institutions.

Homi Bhabha Teaching Assistance Program

Under this scheme, 50 PhD students will be selected as Teaching Assistant. They all will execute the teaching work in colleges affiliated from University. During this, they will get stipend. Under this scheme, 50% fund will be given by the University, whereas 50% will be borne by the institute.
